First, cultivation points

Fig. Adaptability, planting should be carried out before and after Ching Ming, potted plants are easy, generally every 1 to 2 years for a pot.

(1) Watering

Watering should be moderate, not too much, and water should be poured 1 or 2 times a day during the growing season, and watering should be reduced when the fruit matures. Into the greenhouse before pouring a permeable, basically no water after entering the room.

(2) Fertilization

Apply thin liquid fertilizer once a month. Before and after the deciduous application of basal fertilizer, fertilizer is applied before the fruit rapidly expands.

(3) Temperature

Figs are more cold-resistant and do not suffer freezing injury at -5°C.

(4) Pruning

Figs are trimmed year after year. Cutting seedlings grew vigorously in the year and the top was dry and should be cut off. When the main branch is 60 to 80 centimeters taller in the second year, it must be cut. The top 4 to 5 buds were retained and the rest of the buds were removed. In the third year, 12 to 15 centimeters are reserved for the new branch. Each side of the branches left apical buds 1 to 3, the whole plant left about 10 buds. In July, the shoots were picked up.

In this way, pruning is performed at the beginning of each year and the buds are removed, so that the entire canopy is evenly and beautifully presented.

Second, reproduction

Figs are multiplied by cuttings. Choose a full-grown, rough one-year-old shoot about 1.5 cm in length in the spring, cut 20-25 cm long, cut into the sand, 6 cm in depth, insert a watering dripper, keep it moist, and reach a bud of 3-6 cm after half a month Only one bud of the base was kept and the rest were removed. Cuttings are easy to survive. When the seedlings are 30 centimeters high, they can be put on pots, some of which even result in the same year, and most of the second year results.

The azaleas that grow on the roots of figs can be cut off with a knife, propagated in separate plants, and directly planted in small pots for conservation.

Figs can also be bred using the strip method.
